Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded positive growth in economic liquidity or broad money supply (M2) in February 2026.

BI Department Head Ramdan Denny Prakoso stated that the M2 position in February 2026 was recorded at Rp10,089.9 trillion, representing a growth of 8.7% (year-on-year), following 10.0% growth (year-on-year) in January 2026.

“This development was driven by growth in narrow money supply (M1) of 14.4% (year-on-year) and quasi-money of 3.1% (year-on-year),” said Ramdan on Friday (27/3/2026).

According to Denny, the M2 development in February 2026 was primarily influenced by net claims on the Central Government (Pempus) and credit disbursement.

Net claims on Pempus grew by 25.6% (year-on-year), an increase from the 22.6% growth (year-on-year) in January 2026. Credit disbursement in February 2026 grew by 8.9% (year-on-year), continuing the 10.2% growth (year-on-year) from January 2026.
