BI Raises SRBI Yield, Prudential No Longer Includes SRBI in its Portfolio

Bank Indonesia (BI) has taken a proactive step to protect the Rupiah exchange rate from the impact of geopolitical uncertainty by adjusting market interest rate structures through an increase in the yield of Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI). PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) stated that it is continuously reviewing investment allocations in SRBI instruments, considering factors such as market dynamics and internal company needs. “Every potential addition or initiation of allocation to instruments such as SRBI will continue to be carefully reviewed. We are actively making adjustments to investment allocations in accordance with market dynamics and internal company needs,” said Chief Financial Officer of Prudential Indonesia Adit Trivedi to Kontan, Thursday (14/5/2026).
