BI Governor Destry Introduces '3I Plus S' Policy Direction: What Does It Mean?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Destry Damayanti has revealed the policy direction she intends to implement during her leadership of the central bank for the 2026-2031 period.

Following her inauguration as the new BI Governor at the Supreme Court (MA), Destry stated that the scope of policy under her leadership will adhere to the ‘3 มI plus S’ principle.

“Moving forward, we will continue to focus our policies on meeting, at the very least, the 3I plus S principle,” Destry said at the Supreme Court Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/9/2026).

The ‘3I plus S’ policy refers to Impactful, Inclusive, Integrative, and Synergy.

“And all of this can be achieved through the ‘Merah Putih’ (Red and White) synergy, which will continue to serve as our guide towards a more advanced Indonesia,” Destry explained.

Regarding the monetary policy stance to be implemented during her term, Destry noted that she will certainly continue to strive for stability.

To achieve this stability, she believes Bank Indonesia can work in collaboration with the government and other relevant institutions.
