Medan, CNBC Indonesia – Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Destry Damayanti appointed Ameriza M. Moesa as head of the central bank’s North Sumatra representative office on Friday (9 October 2026). Ameriza succeeds Rudy Brando Hutabarat.

“His appointment is an opportunity to build on various achievements and strengthen the synergy that has been established,” BI said in a written statement on Sunday (11 October 2026).

Ameriza, who has 30 years of experience at Bank Indonesia, is expected to further strengthen BI’s contribution to driving the North Sumatran economy.

North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution attended the appointment ceremony, along with members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), local government heads, representatives of the banking sector and business community, and strategic partners.

BI’s North Sumatra office will continue to work with partners to maintain price stability, expand digitalisation, develop micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and make the most of the region’s potential to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
