HUMANITY AWARD: Indonesian Coordinating Minister for People's
Welfare Alwi Shihab (right) receives a bouquet of flowers from
Shinichi Kawashima, sponsoring representative of the Japan-
Indonesia Partnership Association (JIPSA). Alwi received on
Tuesday in Tokyo the group's Humanity Award for his success in
managing international relief funds, including those from Japan,
for tsunami victims in Aceh in the period of two months following
the natural disaster. The newly established JIPSA comprises
Japanese politicians, businesspeople, intellectuals and artists.
