BHR for Gojek and Grab Rises; Check the 2026 THR Ojol Announcement
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Government, through the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, together with the Ministry of Manpower, has officially announced the 2026 Bonus Hari Raya (BHR) programme for online ride-hailing driver partners. The announcement was made in the presence of senior executives from ride-hailing platforms Grab, Gojek, Maxim, and InDrive. In anticipation of the policy, two ride-hailing companies, GoTo (Gojek) and Grab Indonesia, confirmed a significant increase in the value and budget of the BHR for 2026. Both Gojek and Grab have doubled their BHR allocations to Rp100-110 billion in 2026, a twofold increase from the previous year. Gojek BHR: For Gojek, the BHR will be paid to around 400,000 driver partners on the platform. This year there is a significant rise in the lowest nominal tier. For two-wheeled drivers, the lowest BHR rose from Rp50,000 last year to Rp150,000. For four-wheeled drivers, the minimum is Rp200,000. Overall, the Gojek BHR range is: Two-wheeled: Rp150,000 to Rp900,000; Four-wheeled: Rp200,000 to Rp1.6 million. Disbursement will take place on 4-6 March 2026 via the GoPay Mitra balance. In determining BHR amounts, Gojek applies a balanced principle based on the partner category or level on the Gojek Driver app. The assessment is based on the level of platform usage as a primary or supplementary income source, calculated from online hours, and service quality measured by order acceptance and completion rates. The recipient scheme is divided into three groups: Champion Partners (Mitra Juara) - Partners who use Gojek as a main income source with high productivity and good service quality. This category is divided into six levels based on how often they achieve Champion status in the last 12 months (1-12 times). Reliable Partners (Mitra Andalan) - Partners with medium productivity who use the platform as a supplementary income source. Divided into three categories based on frequency of achievement in a year. Emerging Partners (Mitra Harapan) - Partners with lower productivity or order completion rates, including those who have at least once been a Champion Partner or a Reliable Partner in the last 12 months. Gojek emphasises that this scheme is designed so that BHR distribution is transparent and accountable to each partner. Grab BHR: Meanwhile, Grab Indonesia also doubles its BHR budget to Rp100-110 billion in 2026. Grab’s BHR programme is divided into seven categories for GrabBike (two-wheeled) and GrabCar (four-wheeled) partners. The category structure is based on partner productivity and activity during the assessment period. For the top category, GrabBike partners can receive up to Rp850,000, while GrabCar partners can receive up to Rp1,600,000. In the lowest nominal category, the amount rises significantly to Rp150,000 for GrabBike and Rp200,000 for GrabCar. BHR disbursement will be made no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr, and partners can check their receipt status transparently via the GrabDriver app. Grab says more than 400,000 active driver partners with high productivity will receive BHR this year. According to Grab’s internal data, as of December 2025, of around 3.7 million registered partners, the monthly average of partners using the app is between 700,000 and 800,000 drivers. This figure reflects partners who receive at least one order in the month and is dynamic according to each individual’s participation.
