How to define a
rotten politician?

From Media Indonesia

Almost everyone in Indonesia now longs to see noble-minded
politicians and leaders. Unfortunately, most politicians and
leaders do not care much about the welfare of the people. Old
faces, of doubtful credibility and integrity, dominate the list
of legislative candidates approved by the General Elections
Commission.

That's why reformist figures and students have begun their
campaign to reject rotten politicians. To avoid public confusion,
clear criteria that define what is a rotten politician are now
needed.

These could include the falsification of diplomas, violation
of human rights, involvement in graft, the subjection of women to
violence, involvement in environment-related crimes or sexual
harassment, or having a criminal conviction.

These criteria are necessary, for otherwise the campaign
against rotten politicians may be abused for personal gain.
