House okays BII's rights issue plan: The House of Representatives
Commission IX on financial affairs approved late on Thursday for
a Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) rights issue plan to raise
Rp 4.81 trillion in funds. The measure was proposed by the
government, which would become the standby buyer of the new
shares, in a bid to boost the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) of the
bank from minus 47 percent last year to 20 percent by the end of
