Bhayangkara Day Social Service: Three Homes in Gianyar Renovated

The Gianyar Resort Police (Polres) have facilitated the renovation of three residents’ homes in Gianyar, Bali. The renovation of these substandard houses was carried out as part of the 80th Bhayangkara Day social service programme. “Two houses were newly built and one house was renovated,” said Gianyar Police Chief AKBP Chandra Kesuma on Friday (26/6/2026). Chandra revealed that the two rebuilt houses belonged to a construction labourer named I Nyoman Nasa in Banjar Kelod Kangin, Beng Village, Gianyar District, and an elderly woman named Ni Wayan Damuh in Banjar Pakudui, Kedisan Village, Tegallalang District. The third house belongs to Paur Subbag Watpers of the Gianyar Police HR Department, Iptu I Nyoman Hari Subari. Subari’s house was renovated because it was affected by a fire some time ago. “The renovated one is a member’s house due to a fire. The roof was completely dismantled, but the walls are still there,” said Chandra. Chandra stated that this social service is a tangible implementation of the spirit of the 80th Bhayangkara Day. Beyond the primary duty of maintaining security, he said, the National Police also strives to assist communities in need. This house renovation programme was supported by two donors, namely PT Bianglala Bali and the founder of Falala Chocolate Bali, Dewa Padma. Chandra hopes the synergy between the police and the community will grow stronger. “Through this house renovation programme, we want to deliver tangible benefits to the community. Bhayangkara Day is a momentum to further strengthen the relationship between the National Police and the community through social actions that are directly felt,” said Chandra. “Hopefully this assistance can provide comfort, hope, and improve the quality of life for the beneficiaries,” he added.
