Bhayangkara Day: Metro Jaya Police Cut Tumpeng and Share with Orphans in Bekasi

To mark the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Metro Jaya Regional Police held a series of thanksgiving activities, distributing staple food packages to the public. One such event was the distribution of aid at the West Bekasi Police Sector in Bekasi City. The activity was led by the Metro Jaya Police Director of Cyber Crime, Senior Commissioner Raden Bagoes Wibisono. On the occasion, Senior Commissioner Bagoes expressed his gratitude for the invitation and welcome from policymakers and residents of West Bekasi. “Thank you for the invitation and the welcome; this is a very special day. Not just for the Indonesian National Police, but for everyone,” Bagoes said. During the event, Raden Bagoes cut a tumpeng and distributed it to residents. He expressed his hope that on this Bhayangkara Day, the police would be increasingly loved by the community. “The Metro Jaya Police Cyber Directorate wishes a happy Bhayangkara Day to the entire extended police family in West Bekasi. May we become more advanced, more professional, and more humane,” he continued. He added that despite reaching the age of 80, the police force requires support from all parties to maximise its provision of protection, shelter, and service to all levels of society. “We want to convey that although 80 is said to be an established age, we are actually still new and need support from everyone,” he added. Carrying the theme ‘80 Years of Service, Police for the Community’, the West Bekasi Police Sector also invited local officials, representatives of community organisations, residents, and orphans to celebrate the police force’s anniversary. At the end of the thanksgiving activity, Senior Commissioner Bagoes, accompanied by West Bekasi Police Chief AKP Wahyudi, provided donations to orphans and distributed staple food packages to representatives of community organisations and residents in attendance.
