The Badung Police are optimizing the resolution of various criminal cases within their jurisdiction through technological integration. This effort is strengthened by the utilization of the Badung Communication and Informatics Agency (Kominfo) CCTV network and community-based security innovations. Badung Police Chief AKBP Joseph Edward Purba stated that support from various stakeholders, including the local government, has been instrumental in helping to uncover a number of cases recently. “The support from stakeholders in the local government, the Transportation Agency, and other stakeholders, such as the CCTV owned by Kominfo, has been very supportive in uncovering cases in the Badung Police jurisdiction lately. Likewise, support from the smallest government elements, whether villages, banjars, or sub-districts,” said Joseph after the Bhayangkara Day commemoration ceremony at the Badung Government Center field on Wednesday (1/7/2026). The statement was made during the 80th Bhayangkara Day event, where the police emphasized the importance of active participation from all elements of society and local government in maintaining a conducive security and public order situation in the Bali tourism area. Joseph also expressed appreciation for the development of a digital and locally-wise application called Digital Jagabaya, which is considered capable of strengthening the security system down to the banjar level. “We have seen the award given for creating a digital application based on local wisdom, namely Digital Jagabaya. This application prioritizes technology, installing CCTV in banjar areas that are not covered by the local government, because the government only covers main roads,” said Joseph Edward Purba. According to him, this digital monitoring system is expected to continue sustainably to improve overall regional security. Strengthening security facilities down to the banjar level is considered an important step to minimize potential public order disturbances in public spaces. “Thank you, I hope this continues and is sustainable. Hopefully, we also ask for prayers and support from all elements of society to always provide professional, humane, and precise services,” concluded Joseph Edward Purba. The Bhayangkara Day ceremony at the Badung Government Center was attended by all personnel and key officials of the Badung Police, as well as the Badung Regional Leadership Coordination Forum. Officials present included Badung Regional Secretary Ida Bagus Surya Suamba and Badung DPRD Chairman I Gusti Anom Gumanti.
