Bhayangkara Day 2026 Ceremony to Be Held Tomorrow at Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) will hold the peak commemoration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day tomorrow, 1 July 2026, in a different atmosphere. This year, Polri has chosen to hold the Bhayangkara Day ceremony at the Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java.
Head of the Polri Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, explained that the choice of location was not without reason. According to him, the Brimob Training Centre in Cikeas represents the lengthy process of shaping the character of police personnel.
"The Brimob Polri Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, is an open representation so that the public can see that every policing task involves a process of education, training, and the formation of values and character," Isir told reporters on Tuesday (30/6/2026).
Isir said the location serves as a symbol of Polri’s commitment to improving the quality of human resources as the foundation for professional and modern service. This aligns with the theme of the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary, ‘80 Years of Polri’s Service to the Community’.
"Polri wants to show that we are always present in the midst of society, wherever we are," he added.
Beyond the ceremony, Isir explained that Polri has prepared a series of social, cultural, and sporting activities that began in May and June 2026. These activities are designed to bring Polri closer to the community.
"Polri is carrying out Bhakti Bhayangkara activities such as social services, health services, visits to community figures, as well as interfaith dhikr and joint prayers. There are also competitions, a sports week, and wayang performances as a national tradition," he explained.
At the peak event, there will be a parade ceremony, the awarding of honours, a defile display, and a thanksgiving gathering. There will also be an expo of primary equipment and special equipment produced by the nation’s own innovators.
The 80th Bhayangkara Day ceremony, held on Wednesday, 1 July 2026, is scheduled to be led directly by President Prabowo Subianto as the ceremony inspector. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka along with ministers of the Red and White Cabinet are also scheduled to attend.
"The ceremony will be led by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr Prabowo Subianto, and attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka as well as all relevant ministries, agencies, and stakeholders," he concluded.
