Groups told to hold rallies in peaceful manner: Coordinating

Yudhoyono made a late-night plea on Sunday to the groups
intending to stage major demonstrations in Jakarta on Monday to
do so peacefully. The demonstrations will be held in conjunction
with a plenary session of the House of Representatives to decide
on whether to set up a special committee to investigate House
Speaker Akbar Tandjung's alleged involvement in a high profile
financial scandal. "The security forces will not hesitate to take
firm action against those failing to abide by the law," Susilo
said.
