JAKARTA — Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sudaryono has stressed that the agency will not hesitate to remove anyone proven to have violated standard operating procedures (SOPs) and caused fatal incidents or committed legal violations. Sudaryono said the BGN will examine information circulating on social media regarding an alleged markup of egg prices far above the actual price by one of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG).

“The point is, this is my ninth day as Head of BGN, we are fixing everything, we are fixing the governance, we are fixing the implementation of the SOPs. The SOPs are all already in place, they just need to be implemented consistently and with discipline, including the supply chain SOPs, purchasing procedures and so on,” Sudaryono said on Sunday (23/8/2026).

He acknowledged that there are still individuals in a number of SPPGs who have committed violations. However, according to him, these actions do not represent the many SPPGs that have carried out their duties in accordance with regulations.

Sudaryono cited a number of violations, including not being present in the kitchen and not following the established SOPs. In some cases, these violations can lead to health problems and even food poisoning.

In addition, there are SPPG members involved in fraud and online gambling.

“For all these violations, we will assess their severity. If they indeed violate the law and are proven through investigation, we will not hesitate to remove them and terminate their status as government contract employees (ASN P3K),” he said.
