JAKARTA - The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, revealed that 1,780 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) out of a total of 26,800 units have had their operations temporarily halted. The temporary suspension is due to thousands of these SPPG lacking Wastewater Treatment Installations (IPAL) or not yet possessing Hygiene and Sanitation Certificates (SLHS). “It is very dynamic, so currently around 1,780 (SPPG) have been temporarily halted by us. The number might change in a week or two,” Dadan stated during a press briefing on Wednesday (22/4/2026). “When they have registered for SLHS but the certificate hasn’t been issued after one month, we halt them temporarily,” Dadan emphasised. Currently, around 1,780 SPPG are temporarily halted out of the total 26,800 units. However, the figure is dynamic and may change as improvement processes progress. “It is very dynamic, so currently around 1,780 (SPPG) have been temporarily halted by us. The number might change in a week or two,” Dadan said. “In the National Nutrition Agency, there are three deputies, one of whom handles investigation and public communication. There is a Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision who encompasses all SPPG in Indonesia,” Dadan explained. He added that supervision is also strengthened by the inspectorate to address more detailed issues in the field. “All these mechanisms continue to run with the target of improving the quality and effectiveness of the programme in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directives,” he stated.
