BGN Strongly Reprimands Man Dancing in SPPG and Imposes Sanctions

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has responded to a viral video on social media showing a man dancing in a Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) while displaying an incentive of Rp6 million. Deputy Head of BGN, Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, stated that the agency has tasked the Director of Monitoring and Supervision with meeting the man and issuing a strong reprimand. “We have tasked the Director of Monitoring and Supervision to meet him. I just spoke on the phone with Brigjen Doni Dewantoro, Director of Tauwas for Region II, and he has already met and reprimanded him severely,” she revealed on Wednesday (25/3). Furthermore, Nanik expressed disappointment with the man, who is a partner owning the SPPG. “Clearly, we deeply regret and are disappointed with such behaviour from a partner,” she said. She also highlighted the viral video of the man dancing inside an MBG kitchen without wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). Nanik questioned the man’s actions. “Why must he overact like that, especially creating content in the kitchen without PPE? Of course, we will monitor his kitchen,” she stated. Nanik also confirmed that BGN has monitored the man’s SPPG and imposed a temporary suspension. The man’s SPPG was suspended because it did not comply with technical guidelines (juknis) after inspection by BGN. “Coincidentally, after checking the kitchen, the layout was incorrect and the wastewater treatment installation (IPAL) was not proper, so we suspended it,” she said. Nanik also mentioned that the viral man owns seven SPPG units. She reminded that owning an SPPG is not a business project. “So I recall, he has seven kitchens, seven units. But only one is running and has started. The others are not yet operational,” said Nanik. “This is not a business. This is a government programme to educate children. It should not be treated like that,” she added. BGN has suspended one of the man’s SPPGs after discovering non-compliance with technical guidelines (juknis). Meanwhile, the man’s other six SPPGs are not yet operational and will be strictly monitored by BGN during the establishment and implementation process. “This, I don’t know about him, but the running one is only one. The other six we will monitor,” said Nanik. “(The reason for suspension) Incorrect layout. There are technical guidelines for the layout, for example, the kitchen must be like this. Meaning, there are guidelines. Well, the layout was wrong,” she continued. Nanik regrets the man’s action of dancing in the MBG kitchen without PPE, which has sparked public discussion. She then reminded all SPPG owners not to engage in similar behaviour. “I also don’t like it, he makes content in the kitchen without wearing PPE, that’s also wrong. Yes, for the learning of others. No need for strange partners,” she concluded.
