BGN States Electric Motorcycles for SPPG Heads Not Yet Distributed, Number Not 70,000
Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana explained that the procurement of electric motorcycles for the operational needs of Heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme is already included in the 2025 budget. However, Dadan stated that as of now, these motorcycles have not been distributed to the SPPG Heads. “The motorcycles have not yet been distributed. Once all are complete, they will first be recorded as State-Owned Assets (BMN) before distribution,” Dadan said in a press release on Tuesday (7/4/2026). Dadan assured that the motorcycles undergo administrative processes as State-Owned Assets (BMN) before use. He stated that these motorcycles are for the operational needs of SPPG Heads. “The procurement of these motorcycles is indeed included in the 2025 budget. Their function is to support the operations of SPPG Heads,” he said. Dadan also addressed information circulating on social media regarding the procurement quantity reaching 70,000 units. Dadan emphasised that such news is untrue or a hoax. “The information about 70,000 units is not true. The total realisation of electric motorcycles is 21,801 units out of 25,000 ordered for 2025,” he said. Previously, a viral video showed a row of electric motorcycles in a large warehouse. The content creator claimed the number of motorcycles was 70,000 and allocated for SPPG in the West Java region. “This is what I’m spilling: there are 70,000 motorcycles just for the West Java Province alone. Now, whether it’s for all employees or SPPG kitchen heads, I’m not sure. I don’t dare spread hoax news, but clearly this is just for West Java Province, 70,000 units of motorcycles,” said the content creator. Footage also showed moments when dozens of motorcycles were loaded onto trucks. The motorcycles bore stickers reading ‘National Nutrition Agency of the Republic of Indonesia’.
