Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) states that the distribution of motorcycles for the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) will be adjusted to the needs in each region, while still prioritising remote areas.

“The distribution of motorcycles will be adjusted to needs. Data on units already operational will be reviewed again. The procurement of motorcycles is planned for all regions, especially remote areas, including Jakarta for schools in narrow alleys,” said Deputy Head of BGN for Nutrition Fulfilment Operations, Sony Sonjaya, in Jakarta on Thursday.

He explained that the procurement of motorcycles is budgeted from 2025 to optimise the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG), particularly in remote areas that cannot be reached by four-wheeled vehicles.

“The procurement process is carried out in accordance with regulations. If there are any deviations, that falls under the purview of law enforcement authorities. Information such as the procurement of eating utensils for Rp4.7 trillion is also not entirely accurate,” he said.

“Of course, the KPK is paying attention to that,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday (15/4).

Budi explained that the KPK is paying attention to the matter because procurement of goods and services is one of the areas prone to corruption.

“Regarding that procurement, the KPK is certainly highlighting it because the procurement of goods and services is indeed one of the areas vulnerable to corruption offences,” he said.

Dadan conveyed this in response to a viral video on social media of motorcycles with BGN logos. This clarification also reaffirms the commitment to transparency and accountability in implementing the MBG Programme.

“At the end of 2025, the Commitment Making Official (PPK) has submitted a Payment Order Letter (SPM) so that the budget enters the RPATA. This mechanism is in accordance with PMK 84 of 2025, where payment is made in two stages: term 1 upon completion of 60 percent of units, and term 2 for completion up to 100 percent of units,” he said.

Dadan added that until the end of the grace period on 20 March 2026, the provider was only able to complete 85.01 percent or 21,801 units out of 25,644 contracted units.
