Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana stated that the procurement of electric motorcycles for the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) is a domestic product with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 48.5 per cent. Dadan explained that all units of these motorcycles are produced at a manufacturing facility located in Citeureup, West Java. “This is part of our efforts not only to support programme operations but also to boost the national industry through the use of domestic products with significant TKDN,” Dadan said in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday. Currently, all the vehicles are in the administrative completion stage as State Goods (BMN) before being distributed to the beneficiaries in the field. The distribution will be carried out gradually and in accordance with the operational needs in each region. “These electric motorcycles have not yet been distributed. We ensure that all administrative processes, including recording as BMN, are completed first so that their use is orderly, transparent, and accountable,” he added. He explained that the procurement of these motorcycles is included in the 2025 planning and has been realised for 21,801 units out of 25,000 ordered. “We will distribute them later for operations, to all personnel in the SPPG, especially in hard-to-reach areas,” said BGN Head Dadan. When asked by reporters about the urgency of the procurement for SPPG heads, he explained that their use is primarily in areas with difficult transportation access to ensure the smooth distribution of Free Nutritious Meals (MBG).
