BGN: SLHS Compliance for SPPG Units on the Rise, Targeted for Completion in August
The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) states that compliance with the Hygiene and Sanitation Certificate (SLHS) for Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) continues to show significant improvements, with 13,576 SPPG having obtained SLHS as of 15 April 2026, targeting completion for all by August.
Deputy Head of BGN and Acting Chair of the Coordinating Team for the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG), Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, said in Jakarta on Thursday that this achievement represents a major surge compared to the situation when she first took office.
This number equates to 52.37 per cent of the total 25,925 operational SPPG.
Meanwhile, she continued, if calculated from the number of SPPG that have applied, the achievement reaches 81.39 per cent out of 16,681 SPPG.
Nanik emphasised that her team has set acceleration targets so that all SPPG can meet hygiene and sanitation standards in the near future.
“My target is for all SPPG to register by June and for all SPPG to have SLHS by August,” said Nanik.
To achieve this target, her side continues to encourage cross-ministerial synergy to speed up the application and issuance of SLHS in the regions.
“As Acting Chair of the MBG Coordinating Team, I continue to urge the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Home Affairs to help accelerate the SLHS process, but it must still refer to the mandatory requirements that must be met by SPPG,” said Nanik.
She will instruct the Deputy for Monitoring and Supervision (Tauwas) to carry out temporary suspension of operations for SPPG that have not registered for SLHS.
“For SPPG that have not registered for SLHS, we will instruct a suspension or temporary halt to operations,” she stressed.
This step is taken as a form of the government’s commitment to maintaining food quality and safety in the implementation of the MBG Programme, while ensuring all SPPG meet the established standards.
