BGN Shuts Down 16 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units in NTB Over Menu Violations

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has shut down 16 accounts and withdrawn the operational funds of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Fathul Gani, Head of the NTB Provincial Government’s Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Task Force, stated in Mataram on Tuesday that the suspensions were based on a BGN directive. “According to the letter, 16 SPPG units in NTB have been suspended. These kitchens are spread across various regencies and cities in NTB, with varying suspension periods,” he said. He confirmed that the letter, numbered B-140/03.03//07/2026, instructed the deactivation of maker and approval user access and the withdrawal and deposit of remaining balances from the virtual accounts of the 16 SPPG units into the state treasury. The letter also requested that banks immediately block transaction access rights for the sanctioned SPPG accounts and submit a reconciliation report of the final balances remaining in the suspended units’ virtual accounts. Fathul Gani asserted that this firm action must serve as a strong warning for all MBG kitchen managers currently operating to prioritise professionalism in their service delivery. The decision to suspend was based on several technical evaluations, including discrepancies in the menus served to beneficiaries. Beyond menu standards, the task force also reminded all foundation partners, Internal Monitoring Service Units (SPPI), and volunteers to comply with the latest regulations regarding the use of operational raw materials for the kitchens. “This is a warning for those still operating. The management of these SPPG units must be truly professional. Maintain nutritional adequacy standards, uphold kitchen environmental hygiene, and comply with the rules,” Fathul Gani explained. He added that the BGN has strictly prohibited all SPPG units from using subsidised goods for MBG kitchen operations, including LPG and cooking oil. Details of the suspended kitchens include SPPG Pringgabaya in East Lombok, suspended for 278 days; SPPG Labuan Bontong Tarano in Sumbawa, suspended for 178 days; SPPG Kopang Rembige 2 in Central Lombok, suspended for 114 days; and SPPG Sandubaya Bertais in Mataram, suspended for 141 days. Other units facing sanctions include SPPG Praya Jontlak II in Central Lombok (106 days), SPPG Menggala Pemenang in North Lombok (97 days), SPPG Pujut Kawo in Central Lombok (114 days), SPPG Soromandi Sai in Bima (130 days), SPPG Sape Bugis III in Bima (134 days), SPPG Mande Mpunda in Bima City (128 days), SPPG Selebung Ketangga Keruak in East Lombok (132 days), SPPG Bunut Baok in Central Lombok (127 days), SPPG Aikmel V in East Lombok (113 days), SPPG Bada in Dompu (107 days), SPPG Rasa Bou Hu’u in Dompu (101 days), and SPPG Cakranegara in Mataram (145 days).
