BGN Searched by Prosecutors, Dasco: Leave it to Law Enforcement
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, stated that he has received information regarding a search conducted by prosecutors at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office. However, he has not yet obtained further details regarding the possibility of any arrests during the operation. “Whatever the case, we leave it to the law enforcement agencies, which certainly have their own considerations,” Dasco said at the DPR/MPR Complex on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
The search was carried out by investigators from the Attorney General’s Office’s Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus). Several officers were seen at the BGN office in the Kebon Sirih area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday morning. A security guard at the BGN office reported that the investigative team arrived around 02:00 WIB using four vehicles. He also noted that TNI personnel were present to provide security during the process. “Since 2 am, there have been four prosecution vehicles,” said the guard, who requested anonymity.
The Acting Head of the Attorney General’s Office Centre for Legal Information, Mochamad Jeffry, confirmed the search at the BGN office. He stated that the search was conducted by investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. However, Jeffry declined to provide detailed information regarding the search, stating, “An official release will be issued later.”
The search has drawn significant attention as it occurred just one day after President Prabowo implemented a leadership change at the BGN. The Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, previously announced the appointment of Nanik Sudaryante Deyang as the Head of the BGN, replacing Dadan Hindayana. Prior to this promotion, Nanik served as the Deputy Head of the BGN. In addition to the change in leadership, the President also reshuffled the deputy positions, replacing Sony Sanjaya and Lodewyk Pusung with Agustina Arumsari and Major General Trenggono, respectively. Prasetyo explained that these changes resulted from a government evaluation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme conducted over the past year and a half.
