BGN: Rp500 million allocation per 12 days for each Nutritional Service Unit
Jakarta – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has announced updated information regarding fund allocation for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, whereby each Nutritional Service Unit (SPPG) receives an allocation of Rp500 million every 12 days for programme implementation.
“In the interest of transparency and accuracy of public information, we clarify that each SPPG receives an allocation of approximately Rp500 million per twelve days,” said Khairul Hidayati, Head of the Legal and Communications Bureau of BGN, in Jakarta on Saturday.
She explained that the statement was necessary to correct misleading reports circulating regarding BGN fund disbursement in the MBG programme. Previous reporting contained inaccuracies concerning the fund allocation period, necessitating clarification to ensure the public received accurate information.
The fund disbursement mechanism, she said, remains direct to the SPPG without passing through regional government, enabling BGN funds to function as an equitable driver of local economic activity and support even distribution of programme benefits throughout all regions.
“This circulation of funds also provides market certainty for local products used in the MBG programme, with positive impact on the production sector, including an increase in the Farmers’ Terms of Trade (NTP), which now averages 125, providing scope for investment and family welfare,” she said.
BGN emphasised that this clarification was intended to maintain data accuracy and transparency of public information.
“We remain committed to consistently presenting accurate and accountable information to the public,” she said.
