BGN Reveals Why SPPG Operating Funds Are Not Being Disbursed
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has identified several factors that can prevent operating funds for Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPGs) from being credited to their virtual accounts.
BGN spokesperson Tysa Novenny said in Jakarta on Monday that one cause was an SPPG’s failure to report daily spending through the National Nutrition Fulfilment Information System (SIPGN).
“The situation is related to spending reports, the accuracy of beneficiary data, and SPPGs’ discipline in using their budgets,” she said.
Tysa’s comments followed reports from several SPPGs that they had been unable to serve beneficiaries of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme because operating funds were not available in their virtual accounts.
Another reason funds may be unavailable is a mismatch between the beneficiaries served and those listed in the approved data.
“Matching the beneficiaries served with the data in the Provisional Determination Letter (SPS) 2 is necessary to ensure the MBG programme is properly targeted and that spending is in line with the approved plan,” she said.
Tysa added that funds could also run out if an SPPG failed to manage its budget in accordance with the rules.
“The SPPG concerned may also have exhausted its funds because it did not use them in a disciplined manner, as previously stipulated and calculated,” Tysa said.
