BGN Reveals Procurement of 21,801 Electric Motorcycles for SPPG Head Operations
Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Dadan Hindayana has revealed the procurement of motorcycles to support the operations of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, particularly for the heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG), as part of the 2025 budget planning.
“The procurement of these motorcycles is indeed included in the 2025 budget. Their function is to support the operations of SPPG heads,” Dadan stated, as quoted from his official remarks on Tuesday (7/4/2026), reported by detikOto.
Dadan assured that the motorcycles have not yet been distributed because they must go through administrative processes as State-Owned Goods (BMN).
“The motorcycles have not been distributed. Once everything is complete, they will first be recorded as BMN before distribution,” he said.
According to him, the realisation of the motorcycle procurement will proceed gradually starting in December 2025.
On the other hand, regarding information circulating on social media about the procurement reaching 70,000 units, Dadan emphasised that the news is untrue.
“The information about 70,000 units is not true. The total realisation of electric motorcycles is 21,801 units out of 25,000 ordered in 2025,” he stated.
Dadan urged the public not to be easily influenced by unverified information and to understand that the procurement is part of the government’s efforts to ensure the smooth implementation of the MBG Programme throughout Indonesia.
Previously reported by detikcom, a viral video showed rows of electric motorcycles in a large warehouse. The content creator claimed there were 70,000 motorcycles allocated for SPPG in the West Java region.
“This is what I’m spilling: all these motorcycles, there are 70,000 for the West Java Province alone. I’m not sure if it’s for all employees or just the SPPG kitchen heads, I don’t dare spread hoax news, but clearly this is only for West Java Province, 70,000 units,” said the content creator.
