BGN Responds After Sonny Sanjaya Names 41 in Alleged MBG Corruption

Wakil Kepala Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) Agustina Arumsari has responded to the 41 names allegedly involved in corruption related to the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, which were revealed by former BGN deputy head Sony Sanjaya. She stated that the matter should be investigated by the Attorney General’s Office. “Please convey it to the Attorney General’s Office and let it become material for their investigation,” Agustina said when contacted on Monday (21/6/2026).

Sony was previously questioned by the Attorney General’s Office on Thursday (18/6) as a suspect in the MBG management case. His lawyer, Krisna Murti, stated that during the examination, Sony was again asked to detail the names of parties who had requested the determination of locations for the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) or MBG kitchens. Krisna mentioned that the number of names had grown from 26 to 41.

“So, from the 26 names we previously mentioned, there was one person whose chat records were opened, and the table contained a total of 41 names. So the total has now increased to 41 names,” Krisna told reporters at the Jampidsus building of the Attorney General’s Office. He explained that the additional names were linked to parties requesting SPPG location quotas affiliated with the previously mentioned names.

“So, one person had a table showing, ‘Sir, this belongs to this person, this belongs to that person, this belongs to the Regent’, and so on. So the total number of names from the previous 26, plus the ones just mentioned, and an additional three names mentioned by Pak Soni, brings the total to 41 names today,” he continued. Krisna also clarified that the names circulating on social media are not entirely accurate. He stated that Sony did not receive any personal benefit from the parties who proposed the SPPG locations.

“There was none. He was also asked, ‘What benefit did you get from giving them these locations?’, and Pak Soni replied, ‘My benefit is that the SPPG targets are met’,” Krisna said. Regarding the background of the named parties, Krisna indicated that most of them are from political circles. “From political circles. Basically, from political circles,” Krisna explained.
