BGN Reminds SPPG Managers of Operational Standards
Magetan (ANTARA) – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has reminded managers of the Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG) of the operational standards required to ensure the smooth implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) in the region.
Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, Deputy Head of BGN’s Public Communication and Investigation Division, said on Monday during the People’s Economic Synergy Activity for Livestock and MSME Empowerment Strategy in Support of MBG in Magetan Regency, East Java, that SPPGs must comply with certain requirements to avoid operational suspension.
“Suspension is imposed on SPPGs in cases of Extraordinary Events (KLB), commonly referred to as poisoning, and non-KLB incidents,” she said.
“If an SPPG has fewer than 15 partners, we are prepared to impose a temporary suspension. SPPG heads must meet this standard,” she added.
She stressed that all 15 suppliers must be sourced from around the SPPG to ensure the local economy thrives.
“The government’s aim with the MBG program is to boost the people’s economy. The 15 partner suppliers must also be sourced locally to support the surrounding community’s economy,” Nanik S Deyang said.
Through the Food Task Force, the regional government continues to work closely with BGN’s Regional Coordinator (Korwil) in Magetan.
“We have also established the Nutrition Service Office (KPPG) as a platform for the public to obtain information on the MBG program in Magetan,” said Magetan Regent Nanik Endang while accompanying the Deputy Head of BGN’s work visit.
