Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR) held a hearing with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) to discuss the work plans and budgets for ministries and agencies. During the meeting, the BGN proposed a budget of Rp 232.5 trillion for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme.

The meeting took place in the Commission IX room of the DPR parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (3/9/2026). The session was attended directly by the Head of the BGN, Sudaryono.

Sudaryono initially stated that the total budget for the BGN for 2027, based on the Joint Letter of Budget Ceiling (SPBA) from the Minister of Finance and the Minister of National Development Planning, is Rp 240,201,499,678,000.

“As of 9 August 2026, it stands at Rp 240 trillion, or more precisely Rp 240,201,499,678,000,” Sudaryono said during the meeting.

Sudaryono explained that this budget serves as the basis for the BGN’s work and budget plans. The allocation is divided into two programmes: nutritional fulfilment and management support.

“Rp 240.2 trillion is for two programmes: one for national nutritional fulfilment amounting to Rp 232.876 trillion, or 96.25%, and the second for management support amounting to Rp 7.3 trillion, or 3.05%,” Sudaryono elaborated.

Furthermore, Sudaryono divided the national nutritional fulfilment budget into two parts: the MBG programme and non-MBG technical support. The specific budget for the MBG programme is set at Rp 232,503,133,201,000.

The breakdown of the Rp 232,876,433,184,000 national nutritional fulfilment budget is as follows:

  • MBG Programme: Rp 232,503,133,201,000 (99.84%)
