BGN: President Instructs Cross-Sector Collaboration to Ensure Success of Free Nutritious Meals Programme
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Agustina Arumsari stated that President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the importance of cross-sector collaboration to ensure the success of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. The President directed all relevant ministries and agencies to support and assist BGN in implementing the MBG programme, as this synergy is a crucial step to strengthen field execution. President Prabowo delivered the directive during a limited cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday (15/7), as part of efforts to bolster the national nutrition improvement programme. He stressed that cross-sector collaboration is essential to optimise the programme’s implementation and ensure it delivers broad benefits to the public. The directive affirms that the success of the MBG programme is a shared responsibility. The cross-sector collaboration will focus on strengthening governance, improving implementation coordination, enhancing oversight, and resolving various challenges encountered in the field. With the support of all stakeholders, the MBG programme is expected to achieve higher quality and provide optimal benefits to the community. BGN welcomed the President’s directive and is committed to continuing to build synergy with all ministries and agencies to realise an MBG programme that is effective, well-targeted, and sustainable, as part of efforts to improve the quality of Indonesia’s human resources towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
