BGN: Out of 1,030 SPPGs, 760 Still Undergoing Repairs and Evaluation
JAKARTA - The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, stated that as of now, hundreds of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPGs) remain temporarily suspended. This temporary suspension was carried out because those SPPGs have not yet met the technical and operational requirements.
“Out of a total of 1,030 SPPGs, 760 SPPGs are still in the process of repairs and evaluation,” said Dadan in a press statement on Tuesday (31/3/2026).
Dadan explained that several factors underlying the temporary suspension include the lack of Hygiene Sanitation Certification (SLHS), the absence of a Wastewater Treatment Installation (IPAL), non-compliance of food portions with nutritional standards, and various other technical aspects that still need to be addressed.
“Evaluation of this is an important part of efforts for comprehensive improvements to the quality of services,” he said.
The implementation of the MBG Programme must prioritise the principle of serving fresh food with portions that meet nutritional standards and the needs of the beneficiaries.
Therefore, the evaluation and coaching process continues so that all SPPGs currently temporarily suspended can soon resume operations with better service quality.
His side will continue to improve the quality of the MBG programme implementation through the tightening of operational standards across all SPPGs.
In line with the directives of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, BGN as a national priority programme not only has a wide reach but also meets the established quality standards.
“This is important to ensure that the quality of MBG services remains maintained and provides optimal benefits to the community,” Dadan added.
Through this tightening of standards, BGN hopes that the implementation of the MBG Programme can be increasingly optimal in supporting improvements in the nutritional status of the community and strengthening public trust.
