BGN Opens Special Channel for Teachers to Report Complaints on Free Nutritious Meals via Email

The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has opened a special communication channel for teachers to submit complaints, feedback, findings, or grievances regarding the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme in schools. The channel is part of BGN’s efforts to strengthen oversight while promoting transparency and public participation in the programme’s implementation.

Teachers can submit various information related to the MBG implementation via email at saluran_gurupicMBG@bgn.go.id. The communication channel was introduced during the Kick-off Webinar on Nutrition Literacy and Food Safety for Teachers in Support of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Programme, held online via Zoom Meeting and broadcast live on BGN’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.

BGN Head Sudaryono said that teacher involvement is crucial because teachers are directly present in the school environment and accompany students during the MBG implementation. Therefore, input from teachers can serve as a source of information for BGN to understand conditions on the ground and make service improvements.

“If teachers feel there is something that needs to be conveyed to us as the National Nutrition Agency, whether it is a complaint, a grievance, a finding, or anything related to the Free Nutritious Meals Programme, we have prepared a special email channel to the National Nutrition Agency,” Sudaryono said in his written statement, quoted on Thursday, 13 August 2026.

According to him, the channel is part of BGN’s commitment to building a government that is open to public response. Every piece of input submitted by teachers will be given attention by BGN to be followed up gradually as material for evaluation and improvement of MBG service quality.

“We are ready to receive input, criticism, complaints, or anything related to the Free Nutritious Meals programme. We are committed to improving our services, improving our quality, and increasing openness and public participation in this Free Nutritious Meals Programme,” he stressed.

He added that strengthening teacher participation is also part of efforts to ensure that MBG implementation runs according to standards, particularly in the aspect of food safety.

BGN hopes that teachers can help oversee the programme’s implementation in schools while serving as a link between conditions on the ground and the improvement efforts undertaken by the government.
