BGN Officials' Names Impersonated in Fraud Scheme to Open SPPG Kitchen Points; West Java Police Name Four Suspects

Bandung, West Java – The West Java Police (Polda Jabar) have uncovered a case of alleged fraud and embezzlement masquerading as the opening of kitchen points for the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) program. In their scheme, the perpetrators allegedly promised victims they could open kitchen points for the SPPG by demanding payments of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah. The Ditreskrimum of Polda Jabar is currently handling two police reports related to the alleged fraud. Director of the Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) at Polda Jabar, Senior Commissioner of Police Ade Safari, said the modus operandi involved offering to open kitchen points for the SPPG to victims. “There are four suspects in this fraud case, namely YRN (Yon Ramdan Nuryamin), AY (Anwar Yusuf), AN (Ali Nugraha), OSP (Okky Septian Pradana),” he said on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. According to Ade Safari, to convince victims, the suspects allegedly used identities and documents that appeared official and purportedly had approvals from the Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN). In fact, the names of several BGN officials were also used in the act. “However, after the investigations, police confirmed that the documents were forged and never issued by the relevant party,” he said. Investigators are still probing the case and are examining the possibility of other victims with similar modus operandi. For their actions, the suspects are charged with fraud and/or embezzlement as regulated in the Indonesian Penal Code (KUHP). Meanwhile, BGN Deputy Head Sony Sonjaya praised the swift action by Polda Jabar in unravelling the case. “We greatly appreciate and thank the Jabar Police for successfully exposing the modus operandi of the kitchen-point fraud,” Sony said.
