BGN Office Stormed by Crowd Demanding Improved Governance of Free Nutritious Meal Programme

A group of demonstrators calling themselves MBG Watch staged a protest outside the office of the National Nutrition Agency (Badan Gizi Nasional/BGN) in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/6/2026). The rally served as a protest against and criticism of the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG). They also expressed their disappointment over the various issues that have arisen during the programme’s execution and demanded that the government seriously overhaul the governance of the MBG so that it operates more effectively.
