BGN Office Searched, Is Dadan Hindayana Already at the Attorney General's Office?
Investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) searched the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/6). No detailed information has been released by the Attorney General’s Office regarding the specific case being investigated.
The search is suspected to be related to the governance of the BGN during the leadership of Dadan Hindayana. According to a source from CNNIndonesia.com, the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency, Dadan Hindayana, is reported to be at the Attorney General’s Office building. “It is true, he is already at the Prosecutor’s Office,” the source stated on Wednesday.
In addition to Dadan, the source indicated that two other individuals are also at the Attorney General’s Office, bringing the total number of people being questioned regarding the BGN case to three. CNN Indonesia has attempted to contact several parties within the Attorney General’s Office to confirm these reports but has not yet received a response.
Acting Head of the Attorney General’s Office Centre for Legal Information, Mohammad Jeffry, confirmed that the search was carried out by the investigation team from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. “The Special Crimes investigators of the Attorney General’s Office did indeed conduct a search at the BGN office,” he stated via text message on Wednesday. Jeffry did not disclose further details regarding the case and noted that a press conference would be held regarding the results of the search.
Observations at the scene showed several BGN employees waiting outside the office area during working hours. Employees arriving at the location were instructed to wait outside the building pending further instructions, as they were not permitted to enter the office due to the ongoing activities involving the Attorney General’s Office. A security officer reported that the team from the Attorney General’s Office had been on-site since approximately 02:00 WIB. As of 09:00, office services remained suspended, and media personnel were also prevented from entering the premises.
