BGN Involves Peruri to Ensure Transparency in IT Procurement
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is involving Perum Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Peruri) to ensure transparency in providing Information and Technology (IT) solutions to support the success of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG).
BGN Head Dadan Hindayana stated this in an official release in Jakarta on Wednesday, in response to viral issues regarding the budget for providing IT solutions valued at Rp1.2 trillion for the National Nutrition Fulfilment Information System (SIPGN), as well as the provision of IT and IoT infrastructure services.
Dadan emphasised that the selection of strategic partners and the realisation of the 2025 fiscal year budget are conducted under strict supervision and in accordance with applicable regulations to guarantee national data security.
He explained that from the available budget ceiling, the current realisation is allocated for two crucial needs. First, the development of the SIPGN application, which includes various modules, with an estimated value of Rp550 billion. Second, the provision of managed IoT device services with an estimated value of Rp199 billion.
According to Dadan, Peruri’s status as Government Technology Indonesia based on Presidential Regulation Number 82 of 2023 is the main reason why this institution is trusted to manage the national digital transformation of the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).
To address public doubts regarding strategic partners and procurement procedures, Dadan outlined Peruri’s solid digital track record, including its position as the sole state-owned enterprise Provider of Electronic Certification (PSrE) affiliated under the Ministry of Communication and Digital, and provider of electronic stamp systems.
“The entire cooperation process with BGN is carried out transparently, in accordance with applicable regulations, and prioritising principles of good corporate governance. We ensure there are no loopholes for deviations because this concerns the sovereignty of Indonesia’s nutritional data,” he stated.
Regarding technical issues in the Electronic Procurement System (SPSE) questioned by the public, the BGN Head assured that every administrative stage continues to operate within the legal framework. BGN is committed to ensuring that the SIPGN system and IoT services can operate maximally as soon as possible to guarantee targeted nutrition distribution that can be monitored in real-time.
