BGN Introduces Five New Officials to Strengthen Institution
The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) introduced five new officials on Tuesday (21/7) as part of institutional strengthening and efforts to improve the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG).
BGN Deputy Head Agustina Arumsari stated that strengthening human resources is a crucial aspect of supporting the agency’s evolving duties and functions. Therefore, the presence of the new officials is expected to reinforce the organisation in executing various strategic programmes.
‘Human resources are very important at the National Nutrition Agency. That is why today we are introducing new faces who will fill the high-level leadership positions or deputies within the BGN,’ said Agustina.
She explained that the appointment of these deputies complies with the provisions of Article 59 of Presidential Regulation Number 83 concerning the National Nutrition Agency, which stipulates that high-level leadership positions can be filled through direct appointment by the President.
Agustina revealed that the BGN has received the Presidential Decree regarding the appointment of the new deputies, which was signed by the President. ‘Yesterday afternoon we received the Presidential Decree signed by the President regarding the appointment of deputies within the BGN. We are certainly very pleased because the BGN needs a strong team to jointly improve the agency’s governance and refine the Free Nutritious Meal Programme,’ she said.
According to Agustina, the appointed officials were the President’s choice, taking into account considerations of experience and competence deemed relevant to the organisation’s current needs. ‘This is the President’s choice, and from the communications we received, there were considerations that are very relevant to the BGN’s current needs,’ she remarked.
The newly appointed high-ranking officials are:
Prima Yosephin Berliana Tumiur Hutapea as Deputy for Systems and Governance.
Zainuri as Deputy for Provision and Distribution.
Mariman Darto as Deputy for Promotion and Cooperation.
Ketut Sumedana as Deputy for Monitoring and Oversight.
Lili Familia, previously Head of the General and Finance Bureau of BGN, now entrusted as the Agency’s Principal Secretary.
With the addition of these new leadership ranks, the BGN hopes that coordination, institutional governance, and the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Programme will become more effective and deliver wider benefits to the public.
