BGN Implements Alternating WFH Scheme to Prioritise Public Services
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is implementing a policy of alternating work from home (WFH) to continue prioritising public services while supporting fuel oil (BBM) savings. BGN Head Dadan Hindayana stated that this policy forms part of the government’s strategy to reduce employee mobility without disrupting services to the public. “The implementation of a flexible working system, including WFH, is one effective way to curb BBM consumption. For those serving the public, WFH is done on a rotating basis. Those working from the office (WFO) on Friday will WFH on Monday, and vice versa,” he said in Jakarta on Friday. Dadan explained that this adjustment is contained in Circular Letter No. 9 of 2026 as a step to support operational efficiency. “To ensure productivity and smooth communication in carrying out official duties during the WFH implementation, all employees are required to keep communication devices on and respond quickly to every instruction or directive from leadership from 08.00 local time until 16.00 local time,” he stated. He also urged employees to respond to work messages and answer work-related phone calls, except in certain conditions such as during air travel. “Employees are asked to respond to work messages within a maximum of five minutes and to answer work phone calls within less than three rings,” said Dadan. With this policy, BGN hopes to support energy efficiency while ensuring the organisation’s performance remains optimal in executing priority programmes, including the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG).
