Sampang (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has halted the operations of two Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in Sampang Regency, East Java, because they do not meet the requirements set by the institution.

“The two SPPG whose operations have been halted do not yet possess the Hygiene and Sanitation Eligibility Certificate (SLHS) and have not conducted tests on the Wastewater Management Installation (IPAL),” said Secretary of the MBG Task Force in Sampang, Sudarmanto, in Sampang on Thursday.

In addition to failing to meet these two requirements, the two SPPG also lack suitable employee dormitories, which is also a prerequisite for SPPG operators.

He explained that the two halted SPPG are Sokobanah Daya 4 and SPPG Polagan 1.

“However, the suspension of operations for these two SPPG is only temporary, and BGN has stated that it will allow them to operate again once they have met the established requirements,” he said.

According to Task Force data, the number of SPPG in the regency since the programme was launched by the government until 2 April 2026 is 145 SPPG.

Previously, in January 2026, seven SPPG were also temporarily halted by BGN, and they have since met the established requirements.

“So, the two SPPG halted now are newly operational ones,” said MBG Task Force Secretary Sudarmanto.

In general, the Sampang MBG Task Force assesses that the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programme is now improving due to strict oversight by the Task Force and the commitment of implementers in the field.

“In the early stages of implementation, many problems were indeed found. But as time progresses, everything is getting better,” he said.
