“The BGN promptly decided to discharge the individual from their position as SPPG leader. We give zero tolerance for unlawful and inhumane acts,” she remarked in Jakarta on Friday.
Deyang assured the public that the BGN is strongly committed to children’s safety and well-being, citing the agency’s key role in the free meals program as part of public service.
She added that the BGN fully supports the ongoing legal proceedings, hoping for transparent prosecution in line with applicable regulations.

Regarding prevention, she noted that the agency would continue to evaluate the selection and monitoring of personnel involved in the operation of SPPGs in various regions across the country.
“This case has prompted us to strengthen selection, mentoring, and supervision processes for all on-field executors of the program to ensure compliance with integrity, moral, and professionalism standards,” she affirmed.
The official added that the national priority program in East Lampung had resumed following the replacement of the SPPG leader, who was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a nine-year-old elementary student in January 2026.
