Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has assured that the adjustment of civil servants’ (ASN) work patterns to four days in the office and one day working from home (WFH) will not disrupt the continuity of the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG).

Head of BGN Dadan Hidayana stated that in line with this policy plan, all services to the public, particularly the distribution of MBG at every Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG), will continue to operate optimally and with improved quality in accordance with the initial objective of enhancing public nutrition standards.

BGN has also ensured that MBG distribution will continue to follow the number of school days. For example, schools operating five days a week will receive MBG for five days. This policy reflects BGN’s commitment to maintaining service consistency and nutritional fulfilment for children, as well as for beneficiaries such as pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers, which must continue as usual.

“So, we will adjust to the existing policy and adapt our work patterns to the general policy. In addition, I assure you that the MBG Programme will continue, especially for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers. Please intensify that,” said Dadan.

Furthermore, BGN supports the government’s efficiency measures, including the regulation of official facility usage. However, all such adjustments will be made without reducing the quality and reach of public services.

With adaptive and measured management, BGN is optimistic that the MBG Programme will remain effective while supporting the transformation towards more efficient government governance.
