BGN: Electric Motorcycles Not Yet Recorded as Assets Amid Attorney General's Investigation
The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has stated that the procurement of electric motorcycles has not been recorded as definitive equipment and machinery assets because it is still under investigation by the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung). The advance payment for the procurement, made in 2025, became a subject of public attention. The advance was paid in 2025, with the final payment of Rp243.9 billion settled in 2026. Despite the full settlement this year, the motorcycles have not been recorded as definitive assets due to the ongoing Kejagung investigation. To settle the electric motorcycle procurement bill, the BGN previously utilised the Year-End Escrow Account (RPATA) mechanism, a process for securing state budget funds at the end of the fiscal year for unfinished contractual work. The agency also faces potential outstanding payables to third parties amounting to Rp743 billion. During a hearing with House of Representatives Commission IX, BGN Deputy Head Agustina Arumsari reported that the realisation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme budget reached only 59 percent of its target, with management support for the Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI) programme also not fully realised. Total BGN expenditure realisation for 2025 reached Rp51.5 trillion, approximately 60.49 percent of the Rp85.2 trillion budget ceiling.
