BGN Dismisses Lampung SPPG Head Over Alleged Sexual Assault of a Nine-Year-Old Student

Jakarta – Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) has dismissed the head of the Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) in Tanjung Kesuma, East Lampung Regency, who is suspected of involvement in the abuse of a primary school pupil. Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, Deputy Head of BGN, said the agency acted quickly after receiving an official report and confirmed that the individual had been detained by the police for further legal proceedings. ‘As soon as we received the report and confirmed that the perpetrator had been secured by the police, BGN immediately decided to terminate the person from his post as head of the SPPG. We do not tolerate actions that violate the law or trample on human values,’ Nanik told reporters in Jakarta on Friday. BGN emphasised that it does not tolerate any form of violence or crime against children, particularly when committed by an individual involved in delivering public services. The case is being treated with utmost seriousness as it runs counter to the integrity and moral responsibility expected of public programme implementers. In addition, BGN fully supports the ongoing legal process and has handed the case handling to law enforcement authorities to ensure it is processed transparently and in accordance with applicable regulations. ‘BGN respects the legal process carried out by the police. We hope the case can be processed thoroughly to deliver justice for the victim and to provide a serious lesson for all parties,’ she said. Nanik added that BGN continues to review internal selection and supervision mechanisms for personnel involved in SPPG operations across regions. ‘This incident should serve as a momentum to strengthen the selection, development, and oversight of all programme implementers in the field so that standards of integrity, morality, and professionalism are maintained,’ she said. BGN also confirmed that the MBG Programme services in East Lampung will continue to operate normally after appointing a replacement for the head of the SPPG. Earlier, the head of the Tanjung Kesuma SPPG, initials DD, was arrested by police for allegedly molesting a nine-year-old student. The incident occurred on 30 January 2026.
