BGN Deputy Head Furious at Man Dancing in Kitchen Who Owns 7 SPPGs: This Is Not a Business

The Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, revealed that the man who went viral dancing in the kitchen of a Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) facility actually owns seven Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPGs). Nanik reminded the man that owning SPPGs is not a business project. “So I remember he said he got seven kitchens, seven points. But only one is running, the one that’s started. The others aren’t yet, not running (operational),” Nanik told reporters on Tuesday (24/3). “This isn’t a business. This is a government programme to educate children. Not to be done like that,” she added. Nanik stated that the man’s other six SPPGs are not yet operational and will be closely monitored by BGN from establishment to implementation. “I don’t know about him, but the running one is only one. The other six we’ll monitor,” she said. The man dancing in the MBG kitchen went viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism from netizens. A narrative circulated that the man was dancing because he received a daily incentive of Rp6 million from the government. Netizens criticised the man for lacking empathy amid difficult conditions. BGN has issued a stern warning and temporarily suspended (suspended) one of the man’s SPPGs after discovering it did not comply with technical guidelines (juknis). “(The reason for suspension) Wrong layout. There are technical guidelines, the layout, for example, the kitchen must be like this. Meaning it must follow the guidelines. Well, the layout was wrong,” she explained. Nanik regretted the man’s action of dancing inside the MBG kitchen without personal protective equipment (APD), which became a public talking point. She then reminded all SPPG owners not to do the same. “I don’t like it either, him making content inside the kitchen without wearing APD, that’s wrong too. Yes, for the learning of others. No need for weird partners,” Nanik said.
