BGN Deputy Chief Furious During Surprise Inspection of Banyudono SPPG Located Beneath Swiftlet Nesting House

Jakarta - National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Deputy Chief Nanik S Deyang was furious upon discovering that a Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Banyudono Subdistrict, Ponorogo, East Java, was located beneath a swiftlet nesting house. Nanik discovered this during a surprise inspection.

As reported by detikJatim, Nanik’s surprise inspection of the Banyudono SPPG was conducted on Monday (9/2/2026). During the inspection, Nanik emphasized that the kitchen location was unfit for food production activities for schoolchildren.

“How can a kitchen for children be located beneath a swiftlet nesting house? That is unacceptable,” Nanik said on Saturday (14/2/2026).

The BGN immediately instructed that the SPPG kitchen be relocated to a more suitable location. Nanik gave a three-month deadline. If it is not relocated, the SPPG’s license will be revoked.

“If not, action will be taken,” she said.

Nanik’s instructions were delivered during a closed meeting with BGN officials, the Ponorogo Regency Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Task Force, and the local government. Nevertheless, during the grace period, operations will continue under strict supervision to ensure the MBG program keeps running.
