BGN Denies Any Collaboration in SPPG Registration to Prevent Fraud
JAKARTA – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has stated that it has never collaborated with any organisation or business group in the registration process for Nutrition Service Points (SPPG) under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.
Deputy Head of BGN, Sony Sonjaya, said SPPG point registrations are handled independently by foundations via the official partner portal at mitra.bgn.go.id.
‘BGN once again confirms it has never partnered with any organisation or business group for SPPG point registrations. It is solely the foundations that register,’ Sony stated at a press conference at the Bareskrim Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Monday (25 May 2026).
He added that perpetrators have claimed to be close associates of BGN officials or even impersonated them to offer SPPG registration services for payment.
‘The complainants are victims of fraud by individuals posing as BGN officials’ close contacts or even claiming to be officials themselves, offering to handle SPPG registrations in exchange for money,’ he explained.
Sony said police in West Java had arrested suspects in the fraud case.
‘In West Java Police, there was one police report, which I monitored yesterday – the suspects have already been apprehended,’ he said.
Sony revealed that victims in the West Java case suffered losses of Rp 1.9 billion across 21 complainants.
‘There are 21 victims, with average losses of Rp 100 million per person,’ he added.
In one instance, the perpetrators first registered SPPG points to obtain initial identification, but did not actually establish the facilities.
They then offered assistance to others to obtain SPPG points, claiming connections with BGN officials.
‘He offered his services as if he were a BGN official or had connections, saying “I can help you,” leading to transactions,’ Sony said.
