BGN: Construction of 106 Nutrition Service Units in Babel Does Not Use State Budget
Pangkalpinang (ANTARA) - Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Sony Sanjaya, has assured that the funding for the construction of 106 Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in Bangka Belitung Province does not utilise the National Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN). “Not a single SPPG construction in Bangka Belitung has used the APBN,” said Sony Sanjaya during the MBG Programme Consolidation Meeting in Pangkalpinang on Friday. He stated that there are currently 106 SPPG units in Bangka Belitung, distributed across the city of Pangkalpinang, and the regencies of Bangka, West Bangka, Central Bangka, South Bangka, Belitung, and East Belitung, to distribute Free Nutritious Food (MBG) to beneficiaries in those areas. The number of MBG programme beneficiaries in Bangka Belitung totals 252,951 people, comprising 207,812 students and 45,149 non-students such as toddlers, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. Meanwhile, the 106 SPPG units employ 4,550 volunteers and 1,271 suppliers spread across the six regencies and one city in Bangka Belitung. “In the one year of MBG implementation in Bangka Belitung, all the budget for SPPG construction comes from community investments. Therefore, I can assure you that there is no government funding for this SPPG construction,” he said. He added that some SPPG units in Bangka Belitung have been temporarily deactivated due to violations of the standard operational procedures (SOP) set by the government. “The operation of these SPPG units has been temporarily suspended due to prominent incidents related to the quality of the distributed MBG and kitchen facilities that do not meet SOP standards,” he said.
