Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sudaryono has confirmed that only Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) facilities whose construction has been fully completed will be activated, not those that have merely been allocated a site.

“From those already in the queue, we have carried out a review. We would like to inform our partners that those who have only just received a site allocation should not proceed with construction. We will ensure that only those that are already finished and fully resolved are activated,” said the man familiarly known as Mas Dar on his official channel, quoted from Jakarta on Thursday.

He stressed that partners whose SPPG or MBG kitchens have already been activated must follow the subsequent procedures in accordance with the BGN’s standard operating procedures.

“Subsequently, there will be requirements for signing cooperation agreements and other matters, which will follow the next procedures,” he said.

Previously, in a coordination meeting with the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, the Head of BGN also stated that the agency had reviewed and audited the profiles of 27,485 SPPG units as well as the data of MBG programme beneficiaries across all regions of Indonesia.

Sudaryono said that the regulatory measure was carried out to ensure that the location of kitchens, target schools, and beneficiaries matched conditions on the ground.

“So, the explanation now is that according to records, 27,485 are operating. We then reviewed them, profiled the kitchens, and also checked the beneficiaries,” said Mas Dar.

He explained that of the total units audited, BGN has issued provisional determination letters for 27,022 SPPG units whose data was verified as orderly, while continuing to update data periodically.

Meanwhile, BGN has taken firm action by temporarily suspending 463 SPPG units or MBG kitchens.

“The suspension is imposed for at least 10 days, because they have not completed the administrative requirements and technical feasibility verification,” he said.
