BGN Confirms No Fees for Establishing SPPG
JAKARTA – Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sony Sonjaya has confirmed that no fees are charged for establishing the Nutrition Service Unit (SPPG).
‘All legitimate SPPG application and verification processes have never incurred any fees from the National Nutrition Agency,’ Sony stated in a press release on Saturday (30 May 2026).
Sony added that since the implementation of the MBG programme, the public has been advised not to trust certain parties.
He emphasised that SPPG construction processes are transparent and in line with applicable regulations.
‘BGN has never appointed intermediaries, brokers, or any party that can guarantee SPPG location allocation in exchange for payment,’ he said.
Sony revealed that several victims of SPPG-related fraud have approached BGN after promised projects failed to materialise and funds paid were not returned.
‘We urge the public to always verify information through official BGN channels and not to trust parties offering management services or promising SPPG construction approvals for a fee,’ Sony said.
Previously, a suspected fraud case involving SPPG construction was reported in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.
The case began with community reports of alleged fraud where perpetrators promised SPPG kitchen construction and operation.
In practice, suspects allegedly offered SPPG location points, kitchen facility construction, and operational readiness in exchange for payments from victims.
After receiving funds, the perpetrators promised to provide SPPG construction sites until the kitchen was ready for use.
However, the promised construction never materialised and the victims’ funds were not returned.
