The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, has spoken out in response to a viral video of a warehouse full of motorcycles for the free nutritious meal (MBG) project. The video circulating on social media shows several motorcycles bearing the National Nutrition Agency logo.

Dadan Hindayana explained that the procurement of these motorcycles is part of the 2025 budget planning. The motorcycles are intended to support the operations of the free nutritious meal programme, particularly for the heads of nutrition fulfilment service units (SPPG).

“The procurement of these motorcycles is indeed included in the 2025 budget. Their function is to support the operations of SPPG heads,” Dadan stated in a written release on Tuesday, 7 April 2026.

Nevertheless, Dadan said that the motorcycles have not yet been distributed to the relevant parties. According to him, the motorcycles must still go through administrative processes as State Goods (BMN) before they can be used.

“The motorcycles have not been distributed. Once everything is complete, they will first be recorded as BMN before distribution,” Dadan said.

He mentioned that the realisation of the motorcycle procurement began gradually in December 2025. Dadan refuted information circulating on social media that the procurement amounted to 70,000 units.

“The information about 70,000 units is not true. The total realisation of electric motorcycles is 21,801 units out of 25,000 ordered in 2025,” he said.

Dadan hopes that the public will not be easily influenced by unverified information. He also explained that the procurement is part of the government’s efforts to ensure the smooth implementation of the MBG Programme throughout Indonesia.

The viral video circulating on Instagram shows the inside and outside of a warehouse lined with motorcycles. The motorcycles are wrapped in plastic with the BGN logo on the side.

“Like this, bro. What I’m spilling here, all these motorcycles, there are 70,000, bro. 70,000 motorcycles just for the West Java province area. Now, I don’t know if it’s for all employees or just the SPPG kitchen heads, I’m not sure. I don’t dare to spread hoax news,” said the man recording the video, as uploaded by the Instagram account Harian Banten Raya, @bantenraya, on 6 April 2026.

The video recorder said that the motorcycles are electric motorcycles. He stated that the BGN motorcycle warehouse is in West Java, but did not specify the exact location.
