The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has stated that registration as a partner of the Free Nutritious Meals Program (MBG) has officially closed. The public is urged to be vigilant against any offers or inducements to buy or sell SPPG service points by unscrupulous individuals.

Deputy Chairman of BGN, Sony Sanjaya, disclosed that they have identified illegal practices in which individuals demand a certain fee to secure partnerships. He stressed that the registration system is now locked and there is no loophole for new applicants.

Sony warned that any SPPG points proven to have been obtained through a sale and purchase channel will be immediately annulled by BGN. This is intended to deter both sellers and buyers attempting to game the system.

“The system is now closed. Beware of people who say they can still register because we can drop them immediately. I have even received videos of people circulating claims that the sale points cost Rp200 million. So I checked their ID numbers, I drop them so that those who have paid lose out,” he said in a podcast in Jakarta, on Friday (6/3).

He added that any points dropped automatically will not be verified and will be cancelled by BGN. Prospective partners involved in this practice will also be permanently blocked from the system at mitra.bgn.go.id.

In addition to the buy-sell of points, BGN also found modus operandi where individuals deliberately set up a kitchen first, then pretend to be victims of fraud to gain sympathy and instant verification from BGN.

“There is a modus of feigning construction first, then pretending to be duped to ensure verification. But some are genuinely duped. Yesterday someone came to me complaining that their kitchen was ready but not in the system. I asked that they report the fraudster to the police as evidence,” he said.

According to Sony, if prospective partners refuse to report the fraudster’s identity, it is strongly suspected that this is merely a tactic to obtain legitimacy from BGN. He noted that losses from this fraud are substantial, with a minimum value reaching Rp100 million per person.
